Hiya. In 2015, I graduated from college in the USA and won a fellowship to study for a year at a European university. I started this blog back then, and many of the posts reflect that feeling of academic immersion. Now, I use this space for fragments, castaways, beginnings.
I quite hate presenting narratives about myself, so hopefully the posts you’ll find here will give you a better sense of who I am than any biographical blurb could.
By the way, what is a zerbaghali? It’s my nom de plume, if you will, but more importantly it is a traditional percussion instrument, a hand-drum used in Afghan folk music. For example:
